Chiropractic Manipulations are a sudden, impulse like movement that takes a joint beyond its para-physiologic barrier, sometimes associated with a click noise. The purpose of manipulation is to restore motion to a restricted joint.
IASTM aka “Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization,” is a manual therapy approach to musculoskeletal injuries using specifically designed stainless steel tools. IASTM aims to treat: scarring and fibrosis, fascial tension and densification, neural tension, muscle shortening, neurologic restriction, trigger points.
Rehab exercises allow a patient to continue treatment from home for sustainable long term change. Choosing exercises based on the needs and abilities of the patient allow for a more individualized approach to recovery.
